About

Víctor Alcántara, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is a graduate of the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo, where he completed his academic studies (1991–1997), including a postgraduate specialization in Drawing (1995–1997). He later earned a degree in Art at the Altos de Chavón School of Design in La Romana (1997–1999) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Illustration from Parsons School of Design in New York in 2001. Throughout his academic and professional career, Alcántara has received numerous national and international awards, including multiple distinctions at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, first prize at the UMPHU Scientific and Cultural Fair in 1995, and scholarships to pursue advanced studies at both Altos de Chavón and Parsons School of Design.
